Columella type

The overall form of the central axial structure within a corallite (calical surface)

spongy Columella formed by inter mingling of loose trabeculae from the inner septal margins
lamellar Columella formed by a plate, commonly free in its upper part
papillose Columella formed by a group of twisted vertical ribbons or rods similar to pali or paliform lobes
feeble Columella weakly developed
